Individual Counseling


Ali provides weekly or biweekly individual mental health counseling. Clients participate in counseling with a desire to resolve any issues preventing them from experiencing fulfillment in life. Many clients come to Ali out of a desire to change feeling:

  • post traumatic stress (PTSD) and complex post traumatic stress (C-PTSD)

  • high stress/burn out and anxiety

  • stuck, overburdened or lost

  • depression, emotional pain or grief

  • dissatisfaction in the areas of career, relationships or life overall


Ali has advanced post-graduate training in several compassionate and effective treatment modalities that go beyond traditional talk-therapy. These include:

Transactional Analysis: A framework of personality that provides clients with a deeper understanding of their relationship with themselves and others.

Redecision Therapy: A solution-focused and cognitive- behavioral method for uncovering beliefs / decisions made as the result of experiencing trauma or complex trauma in childhood. This technique gives clients the opportunity to update and resolve early childhood messages on an emotional level.

Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy (TRET): The phrase “the body keeps score” rings true when we think about how trauma is stored in the body. This is true for traumatic events and traumatic patterns experienced over the course of time. TRET is a form of energy psychology aimed at clearing distress and energy blocks resulting from trauma from the body.

Personality-Focused Treatment: Psychotherapy tailored to to fit the personality of the individual is always more effective. Take the JPAQ (personality test) and Ali will help you learn about your unique combination of the six personality adaptations.

Gestalt Therapy: Change occurs on an emotional level. Gestalt therapy or “chair work” is an experiential method that enables clients to tap into their emotions on a deeper level. This provides clients with much more information than simply thinking about the problem would.

Emotional Freedom Technique: Essentially, EFT is acupuncture without the needles. Tap on specific pressure-points on the face to relieve distressing emotions in the moment.
