Resolve the root of the issue, rather than just cope
Ali offers both video/telehealth and in-person therapy.
My approach
beyond traditional talk therapy
I offer counseling services that go beyond traditional talk therapy by integrating a broad range of techniques and approaches informed by my extensive, ongoing training post graduate school. I continuously seek out advanced learning opportunities to expand my skills and understanding of various therapeutic modalities. This allows me to tailor my approach to each individual’s unique needs, incorporating cutting-edge tools and strategies. My commitment to staying current with the latest developments and therapeutic trends ensures that my clients have the opportunity to actually improve their issues rather than just cope.
The impact of traumatic experiences
I help clients find clarity about the impact of traumatic experiences (big and small). It is my experience that most (not all) psychological symptoms have some roots in early experiences or trauma. This allows clients to start the process of resolving psychological symptoms and increasing life satisfaction overall. I conduct therapy from a wholistic and trauma-informed lens.
A collaborative approach
I work collaboratively with clients to help them meet their self-identified treatment goals and experience transformative positive change. I ask every new client, “in terms of feeling, thinking and behaving how do you want to be different as a result of meeting with me?” That way we can work together to get you the change you want to see. I approach therapy with the view that every person is competent, worthy of love/value and has the capacity to think. I honor and affirm intersectional identities. In my practice, an emphasis is placed on personal development and revitalization. I find immense joy in helping clients live full lives as their authentic selves.
